Sporting Activities

Napier Central School has a sound sporting reputation and offers a wide variety of sporting activities and challenges.

At times the spaces available on teams is limited. We also need support for coaching the sport teams. If you are to assist with coaching in one of the codes please see Jane Taylor, Associate Principal.

Summer sporting codes include:

Swimming (until earlyMarch)
Swimming sports in early March
Cricket Terms 1 and 4 with games on Thursday afternoons or Saturday morning
Softball
T-ball
Volleyball
Tabloid Sports
Athletics

Winter sporting codes include:

Netball
Hockey
Cross Country with the school event in August
Interschool Cross Country held in September

Rugby and football(soccer)

Although we do not have school rugby or soccer teams, many of our students play for local teams under the Club system. Please make enquiries at local clubs if your child is interested in these sports.

NB:Travel to and from the games is the responsibility of the parents.
